As the brand is democratic by definition, AMI speaks to all generations of customers with the daily-wearable clothes but the focus of the Spring/Summer 2015 collection is youth.
With the simple color code: yellow, green, blue, red, navy, beige, white and black, Mattiussi showed a subtle taste of Schoolboy and British Punk in ripped and scuffed jeans, houndtooth and stripe pattern. Lines remain simple and clean and sportier vibe can be seen in windbreakers in technical fabric or in mesh linings.
The memory of 1990’s TV series runs through the collection, from Heartbreak High, Beverly Hills 90210, Saved by the Bell. and the French program Premiers Baisers (“First Kisses”). The iconic John Hughes film The Breakfast Club also serves as a reference point. Anyway, the undecorated clothes, an alternative trend of fashion week, create intimate atmosphere just as if we meet “ami(=friend)” on the corner, and make us feel like wearing and taking a stroll on the streets.
