While [Gosha Rubchinskiy] is perhaps best known in footwear for his sneakers made for [Vans], his work with [Reebok] is also beginning to turn heads. The original Phase1 Pro was released way back in 1985 and proved to be one of the most popular tennis shoes of the 80s. This collab model that sticks with the 80s theme with “1984” fits perfectly with the rest of this season’s collection.
There are three colors available, black, gray, and white, each with the brand name embroidered in Russian on the heel. These shoes sold out almost instantly on the online shop after an advance release at the London and New York stores. Some other sneakers that seemed to be a collab with [Reebok] also appeared at Rubchinskiy’s A/W 2016 showing last month in Paris, so it’s possible there is a new series in the works similar to that with [Vans]. That’s why it’s all the more important to get ahold of this first release. Quantities are limited, so act fast if you’re interested.
